Rachel Nicotra Ms. Nicotra, our firm's principal attorney, and mediator, has an extensive background in general civil litigation with a focus in employment and civil rights law. She regularly resolves matters dealing with federal and state anti-discrimination laws (Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, New York State and City Human Rights Laws) and wage and hour laws (Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, New York Labor Law), and has successfully represented clients in jury trials, administrative hearings and mediations. Ms. Nicotra also has wide-ranging experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements (including severance and separation agreements) and counseling employers, small businesses, startups and entrepreneurs.
Ms. Nicotra earned her Juris Doctorate at CUNY Law School, has a master’s degree in creative writing and English from the University of Texas, and received a bachelor’s degree in writing and political science from Ithaca College. Before attending law school, Ms. Nicotra worked for several years as a project manager and online producer for advertising and media companies.
